I recently received these messages from two portrait clients who I worked with in the past few months. I had asked both of them if they would be willing to share a few words with the Web about their experience working with me. For one client I made a family portrait, for the other I made individual portraits of an office’s staff. Here’s what they had to say….
“When deciding on a special gift to honor my parents 60th wedding anniversary, I thought it would be great to have a professional photo of our entire family. There are 24 of us (parents, siblings, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; an age range from 93 years old to 18 months). I knew any photographer would have a challenge coopting that many, capturing their personalities and the essence of the group.
I was familiar with Troy’s work, and with his professionalism. He said he was up to the challenge. Troy did an excellent job of working with all of these mostly camera-shy people. His calm demeanor, friendliness and fun personality – not to mention a nice tone of voice for working with a large group of people- made the photo shoot a success. He made everyone feel comfortable as he arranged us for the photo. He was good in informing all of us when and where to expect proofs on line.
The ultimate (point) about Troy’s work is that my parents now have a beautiful picture of their family- their legacy- to enjoy in their advanced years. My father remarks how life-like everyone is in the photo. Troy helped us give a gift to our parents of seeing their family everyday -albeit in a frame!
