2018 in review: part two

Continuing my review of work I made in 2018, here’s a few more behind-the-scenes images… (and here’s Part One).

One of the aspects of photography that never ceases to amaze me, is how the effort and time it takes to make an image really doesn’t often have much bearing on whether or not an image is truly memorable. Sometimes the magic happens in a few hours, sometimes in a few minutes. What is consistent, is that each time it’s up to the photographer to arrive in a situation, assess it, come up with an approach, and create images that will satisfy the various clients! I love that – whether I have minutes or hours to create, I have to deal with it, and THAT is the creative challenge of professional photography.

This set of photos features annual report photography for UMOS/Eggert Creative, a non-tradtional wedding at a Godzilla convention, polka-dancing at the anniversary party of a local art gallery, a local fitness instructor, the Krampusnacht Milwaukee event, Cardinal Stritch University, and more Present Music, A.W.E., MSOE, MKE Jewish Federation and City Year MKE.
