Local First Milwaukee – Sixth Anniversary Party!

Last night, the North Point Lighthouse hosted the 6th anniversary party of Local First Milwaukee (“Our Milwaukee” for the first 5 years)! I’ve written about Local First Milwaukee often here, since I’m a member business and serve on the board of directors. If you want to learn more about this great organization, read my blog posts HERE or check LFM’s website HERE.

Last night brought much needed rain to our area, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of all the LFM supporters and members present! There were LFM t-shirts given away, bearing a new design by member superstar Lone Shoe Graphics (who is, with Unbox Interactive, redesigning the Troy Freund Photography website). There were short talks from staff member Nancy Quinn and president Pam Mehnert about LFM has achieved, and more excitedly, about all that is coming Milwaukee’s way from Local First Milwaukee.

It was a party, it was fun – there was great food and drinks from Tall Guy and a Grill, Outpost Foods, Lakefront Brewery, East Side Ovens, Becky’s Blissful Bakery, and Stone Creek Coffee. Music was provided by Dori Zori of WMSE!  Going to a Local First Milwaukee event is always excellent, because there are few things that can recharge your feelings about the city, than being around a whole lot of people who believe Milwaukee is a great place!
