“If” no. 1 -If all students, while still in high-school, were required to spend one semester abroad, in a non-English-speaking country, I think Americans would have a much stronger world-awareness and would be better citizens of the world instead of being so self-centered, as I think we are currently perceived.
“If” no. 2 – If all students, upon completion of high-school, were legislatively-bound to serve 2 years of community/social service or military service, I think we would have a much more active citizenry.
“If” no. 3 – If more people bicycled regularly, there would be a lot less idiots on the road, because those drivers – who bicycled more often – would be more aware of the other people on the road and what trouble their inattention can cause.
