Kickapoo Valley

A few weeks ago, my parents, siblings, significant others and I went to Ontario, Wisconsin for the first-ever “Freund Family Vacation”. Having grown up on a WI dairy farm, there was neither time nor funds for a vacation back when I was growing up. Finally though, Mom Freund’s wishes have been fulfilled and we enjoyed an active weekend together. There was much cooking, laughing, hiking, canoeing, horse-back riding, learning about the Amish and a little sleep, but not too much.

Here, for your viewing pleasure, are some of my snapshots from the weekend. While what I do professionally is almost always digital-based, I only took along film cameras to document this weekend–a Leica M6TTL with 50mm Summilux and a Minilux Zoom. All of these photos are from the Minilux Zoom (with Reala film); I haven’t processed the B+W film that went through the M6TTL yet.
