Going into our third year of regular meetings, dang, this is FUN! 🙂 We just recently had a meeting to determine the topics of the year and the blanks will get filled in soon (though subject to change, possibly).

Unless indicated otherwise, we’ll continue meeting at Anodyne Coffee on Bruce St., Arrive 6:30/7:00, talk till 9:00p.

January 26 – Feature Local Artist Presentation: R-Rated Clothing‘s Roberto Rivera; and a “2015 Wrap-Up Trivia Contest”!

February 23 – celebrate the month of Jules Verne’s birthday with your favorite Time Travel stories, and another Local Artist Presentation (deets forthcoming)!

March 22 – Women In Comics – Creators and Characters and What’s Next. NOT at Anodyne, this event will be at BINARY. All details HERE!

April 26 – Heaven/Hell/Spirituality in Comics

May 7+31 -MKE Cosplay 5k on the 7th for National FREE COMICBOOK DAY; Kid-Friendly Comics and WebComics on the 31st.

June 28 -oh man, bring your fave blue ox with you and celebrate National Paul Bunyan Day at our “Non-Supes” discussion. Bring books featuring your favorite NON-super-powered characters! (folk heroes like Paul and Babe will be accepted, too!) 🙂

July 26 –  Villains Spotlight – when being bad is done so well.

August 30 – Diversity in Creators, Diversity in Characters

September 27 – Cull Your Collection Fundraiser for CBLDF – CBLDF 30th Birthday Party!

October  and 25 – MKE Cosplay 5k and let’s celebrate National Bat Month with a topic of Your Favorite Snoops, Sleuths, and Detectives (like BATMAN – the world’s greatest detective!)

November 22 – History In Comics (historically-based comics, auto/biographical, comics that incorporate real historical events into fictional stories)

December 13 – Controversial Stories/Arcs – for every Crisis, there exists a couple “One More Day” stories. Bring examples of your favorite worst and best stories that got folks riled up!
