Anyone who knows me, knows that photographing my family has long been an interest of mine. I’ve been photographing them since I first started taking photography seriously, about 1993. Usually I photograph them in a documentary-style, trying not to disrupt our activities. Lately though, I’ve been trying to make regular posed head-shots of all of us, to see how we look alike, how we age, and so on. These photos were made about two weeks ago, during a visit back to Mayville, where I grew up and where my parents still live. This time, I was able to get all of us except for Brother #5, Clint.
